A timeless luxury residence in the heart of a natural reserve in southern Sicily.

Masseria Costanza is a one of a kind historical residence nestled in the heart of the Nature Reserve of Vendicari in Noto, Sicily. I had the pleasure to collaborate closely with the owner to design their visual presence and marketing collaterals. 

Branding

Abundant inspiration was drawn from the ancient architecture and landscapes that define Masseria Costanza. Choosing the perfect symbol for the logo led us through various paths of exploration.

The natural reserve of Vendicari, renowned for its migrating flamingos, served as a cherished symbol of the region—an elegant and fitting emblem for a luxury brand. The estate itself is steeped in history, with family initials adorning many of the linens within the house. Notably, the owner’s initials, MC, perfectly mirror the property’s name, Masseria Costanza. Moreover, the property’s architecture, boasting immense and iconic arches, along with its ancient entry gate dating back to 762 A.C., adds a rich historical layer.

While the flamingo has been used by other local brands and the arches resulted in overly weighty forms for a logo, the family initials introduced an aristocratic vibe inconsistent with the property’s history as a former farm and fortress for the Tonnara of Vendicari. Consequently, we decided to feature the arch of the ancient gate in our logo. Its light, sun-like form beautifully represents the property, offering a distinctive and standout visual that sets us apart from the competition.

In collaboration with the Property Manager and the owner, we meticulously crafted the texts for the brochure. Taking charge of the translation from Italian to English and German, I ensured that the essence and details were accurately conveyed. The brochure serves as a comprehensive guide, emphasizing the property’s unparalleled location and providing guests and travel agents with all the necessary information.

Website Design

The website has a simple yet elegant flair giving room for the property to speak for itself.  Event organizers, travel agents or private guests looking for their next travel destination will find all the information they need. 

The website is simple to navigate and designed using WordPress. As the property is managed by an agency no booking engine was integrated.
